Why missions is important in WEFC
  • Thank God for guiding WEFC to be a missions-minded church and wanting to make disciples and transform Woodlands and the world.
  • Thank God for our current mission fields: Sawa, Japan, Timor-Leste, Vietnam, Kurdistan, Diaspora in Singapore.
  • Pray for God's strength & joy, for spiritual protection for our missionaries, their families and ministry partners as they labour for World Missions: Louis & Chris Lau, Guanwen & Rachel, Titus & Ginny, Leonard & Bettina.
  • Pray for God to provide the financial resources for missions to grow.
  • Pray that God would make WEFC into a House of Prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56:7)
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. ~ 2 Corinthians 9:10-11

Why WEFC adopted the Sawa
  • Thank God for enabling us to adopt Sawa and reach out to them for the past almost-25 years. Thank God for past missionaries such as the Lee family, Eugene Lee and other partner missionaries who faithfully served the Sawa people.
  • Review the significance of the adoption covenant - i.e. that God has called us to pray, give and go till the Sawa are reached with the gospel. Pray that the next generation of WEFCers would own this God-given call and that more missionaries from our church would go to Sawa.
  • Pray for fresh and bold vision for the annual Sawa conference. Pray for a people movement that would lead to hundreds of thousands of Sawa believers in house churches.
Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. ~2 Thess 1:4

Joys of serving the field and raising up the next-gen of missionaries
  • Thank God for the faithfulness of our missionaries, missions agencies and missions pastors.
  • Pray for WEFC, the Singapore Church, and missions agencies to heed the call of Singapore as the Antioch of Asia, especially in its LoveTimor and LoveJapan movements.
  • Pray for WEFCers Nas & Arlene, Patricia, Veon and Abigail as they discern God's call for missions and prepare themselves to go.
  • Pray that the Lord will raise the next generation of missionaries and mobilisers in WEFC!
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns." ~ Isa 52:7
