Intentional Investment for Kingdom Expansion

The wisdom shared by Pastor Daniel Seow* on prioritising our "Jerusalem" in missions struck a profound chord in me. It is a call to strategic intentionality, recognising that sustainable outreach requires a strong home base that prays and sends.

The Lord Jesus Himself modeled this by investing deeply in the Twelve (Luke 6:12-13), laying the groundwork for a movement that would reach the nations. Mentoring and discipleship are not mere programs, but the very DNA of missions mobilisation, birthing both those who go and those who send.

In missions, we often speak of the goers that reach the lost, but let us not neglect the crucial role of nurturing our senders too – the advocates, supporters, and prayer warriors who empower those on the front lines. For every labourer sent into the harvest (Matthew 9:38), may we raise up a company of ten who hold the ropes, just like those in the early church who supported the missionary journeys of Paul, Silas, John Mark and others.

May our focus shift towards a holistic vision, where every believer at home plays a vital part in seeing the gospel reach the ends of the earth.

Blessings,
Pastor Jimmy
