Christmas 2025: Where Joy is Found

Amidst global calamities and personal challenges, not to mention the devastation of the recent fire at our church, it's easy to lose sight of joy, or even to feel disconnected from God and one another. Yet Philippians 4:4 reminds us "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!"

What is the JOY of Christmas? Can this joy be found?

This December, we trace God's plan for how He brought Jesus to us. It was a journey filled with much fear, uncertainty and long, silent periods of waiting. God's plan prevailed and was fulfilled in His time, in His way.

But Christmas without Community tells only part of the greatest Story ever. God's most precious gift to us, our Saviour Jesus Christ, was given to draw us to Himself and to bring us together. His love makes us one.

We rejoice to welcome all of us back onsite to celebrate the Christmas season, together as one Community! Let's also take this opportunity to invite our family and friends to join us for our evangelistic services throughout the month of December and on Christmas Day.

Book Sale: Ordinary People, Extraordinary God (2025 Edition)

Our second volume of WEFC stories will be on sale starting December! The stories, graciously shared by 15 WEFCers of different ages and backgrounds, include how God walked with them through...
  • a gambling addiction
  • health emergencies
  • widowhood
  • setting up a new business
  • finding faith
  • caring for loved ones with dementia
These books make meaningful Christmas gifts, and we pray God will use the stories to draw our readers one step closer to Him. We invite you to start making a list of loved ones and friends whom you can gift this book to. People need to hear about the God who sees and the God who desires to be near to all!
Each book costs $8. Get your copy from our booth in Cana Hall over these two weeks (7 & 14 Dec) from 10.15am to 3pm.

Church Onsite

Our revised service timings are as follows:
Chinese Worship: 9am - 10.15am
English Worship 1: 11.15am - 12.30pm
English Worship 2: 1.30pm - 2.45pm

English Sunday School: 11.15am - 12.30pm

Chinese Livestream: 9am - 10.15am
English Livestream: 11.15am - 12.30pm

As English Sunday School will run only during the 11.15am session, we strongly encourage families with young children (18 months to 11 years old) to attend this service so that your children will also have the opportunity to learn more about God and interact with their peers.

Please note:
  • Individuals with asthma and other respiratory conditions may want to consider the use of a face mask to reduce exposure to any lingering irritants.
  • Level 4 will remain closed due to ongoing repair works in Bethel. Any access to Level 4 is strictly prohibited until further notice.
Register for English Services

In the initial weeks, please register weekly to indicate which English service you intend to attend. This will help us anticipate if either service is over-subscribed, due to limited seating in Hebron Hall. Registration opens on the Wednesday of each week. Please note that registration indicates your intention to attend and does not guarantee a seat. Do come at least 5 minutes before service begins to ensure that you get a seat.

Faith Promise Offering 2026

WEFC sets aside 20% of our offering for global missions. Part of our Missions Fund provides 50% of our WEFC missionaries’ support needs, while the remaining 50% is raised from our congregation through the Faith Promise Offering (FPO) every November. Many of you have given generously to support our missionaries and their ministries over the years.

We pray that all of us hears God’s heartbeat to send missionaries where the gospel is most needed, as we make disciples who transform Woodlands and the world. Find out more and give to the FPO via the link below.

Building Restoration Fund

Many of you have shared your desire to be part of our church's restoration process. Would you prayerfully consider giving towards our Building Restoration Fund?

While we are uncertain how much insurance will cover, we will certainly need to pay a significant amount for the building, fixtures and equipment lost. In the event that surplus funds are raised, the excess will be channelled to our General Building Fund.
