Missions Forum: Mid & Long-Term Missions
19 Apr • 9.30-11am • Jordan 9
What is a missions forum all about? It's not a recruitment talk — it is a conversation about God’s heart for the nations and how ordinary believers can participate in His mission.
If you have ever wondered:
- Could God use someone like me?
- What does missions look like today?
- How can I take my first step?
Then this forum is for YOU.
Come and hear real stories from our church family — honest stories of calling, fear, faith, and transformation. Ordinary believers like you and me can participate in His mission! Many people groups have not yet received the gospel, so let's be part of the Story He is writing around the world. Each session is limited to 30 participants only.

Storytelling Christ!
25 April ・ 9.30am - 12.30pm ・ Jordan 1
Did you know that about 40% of the Bible is made up of stories? Stories were Jesus' favourite means of revealing Himself to the world. He often chose to show-and-tell through performing a miracle or telling a story or parable, rather than preaching a sermon. Stories encouraged his listeners to imagine what had happened, to identify with different characters in the story, and to go beyond the facts to engage their emotions.
Let's take Jesus' example and do likewise with our friends and family. Let's tell them stories. We already have a whole collection of amazing, block-buster stories waiting to be told. Come and learn to be a Storyteller for Jesus!
Our trainer, Dr Larry Dinkens, and his late wife were OMF missionaries in Thailand for more than 20 years. Over the last decade or so, Larry has held teaching and leadership positions at various seminaries. His passion and area of expertise are in Orality — or the use of oral means, such as storytelling, to share the good news.
