Lord, give us your heart for the poor.
- Ask God to give us His heart for the poor
- Confess our ignorance or insensitivity or superiority towards the poor
- Pray for the needs of the poor
God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds his judgement: “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
~ Psalm 82:1-4

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” ~ Matt 9:36-38
Lord, make us a church for the ooor
- What stops me from saying, “Lord I will be all things to all people.”
- Lord, where must we change as a church to reach Woodlands?
- Lord, what do you want to grow in me as a person to love the poor?
To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings. ~1 Cor 9:22-23
