What we did
In May 2023, we improved our church security by replacing broken cameras and adding IP cameras to our surveillance system to better our coverage of blind spots in the building.
Admin-Ops:
The Admin-Ops team had originally planned to renovate the Information Centre in Cana Hall (L1) to become a registration and information counter. However, registration for church classes and events can now be done online via Church Center App and, and visitors to our church are now attended to personally by our newly-setup Welcome Team, so there is no immediate need for an Information Centre. After evaluation, the team decided to remove the old counter and level the area for other usage of the space.
Comms:
The Communications Team assisted in planning and executing various components of the Yes Jesus, I will!discipleship focus throughout the year, especially in the area of designing various media elements for the website, social media and services, as well as publishing a discipleship journal on the book of Mark. On a weekly basis, Comms prepared the visual media for onsite and online services, in close collaboration with the Tech Crew, preaching pastors and other ministry staff.
In May 2023, we closed our Facebook page, making our Telegram Channel our primary platform for churchwide social media and updates. Later in December 2023, we merged our Youth and Pathmaker Instagram accounts to form a new one for YAY (Young Adults & Youths), in line with our church’s desire to nurture the next generation, for greater intergenerational collaboration, as well as due to manpower changes. Our video team created video testimonies for the Easter season as well as content for the Christmas services. New volunteers for our social media and video teams were also recruited.
Where we are going
In 2024 the Admin-Ops team will continue to improve facilities on our premises. We will begin by changing the ceiling fans in Cana Hall (L1), and adding more fans to the space to improve airflow. The team is looking at installing more water drinking points on other levels for easy accesss for everyone. The team is also exploring setting up a coffee corner in Cana Hall. Further improvements are also underway for our Audio, Video and Lighting set up in our worship halls (L3 and L4) and Jordan 1 (L3). A committee has been established to look into this and carry out the necessary improvement works.
Comms will continue to plan and execute components of the Return to God discipleship focus throughout the year, supporting the different ministries and finding ways for greater cross-ministry collaboration. We seek to further strengthen our social media team and collaborate with the video team to produce intergenerational content. We are excited that a group of young people (Podcast@Funistry Team) are also planning to launch a podcast channel for our church this year!
