ADMIN-OPS & COMMS TEAMS
The Admin-Ops Team ensures the optimal running of the church office and operations to provide an effective and conducive environment for church ministries.

The Comms Team strategizes and executes communications for church-wide ministries, including our website and social media presence.

What we did
The Admin-Ops and Comms Teams support all church ministries for matters such as booking rooms, maintaining our church building, ensuring our computer systems work, and managing our website and social media sites. Because of their support ministry, the Gather-Grow-Go Teams can focus more on the people and visioning aspects of the church’s mission.
Admin-Ops:
In April 2022, Rogers left after 11 years of service. In God’s perfect timing, He brought Jim to join the Facilities and Maintenance Team in June, and the team embarked on an initiative to address leakage issues in the church which was successfully completed in Q3 of 2022.
Another major initiative carried out by the Admin-Ops team in 2022 was the completion of a spring cleaning of the church. The team managed to clear out and dispose unused items from worship halls, music room and meeting rooms, and in the process freed up an additional room on L1 for future meetings. The Admin team along, together with various volunteers (ranging from children to adults), took charge of the decorations and refreshments at our first post-Covid Christmas celebration on 25 Dec 2022, which was attended by more than 800 worshippers.
Comms:
Emily returned to work part-time as Communications Executive in January 2022, after completing her maternity leave. The Communications Team assisted our Executive Pastor, Rev Ivan, in planning and executing various components of the FUN discipleship focus throughout the year, especially in the area of designing various media elements for the website, social media and services.
In the first half of 2022, we launched our Conversation Cards to encourage families to have deeper conversations on spiritual matters and for LCGs to use to facilitate sharing. Together with the Outreach team, our video team created a series of video testimonies for the Easter season and beyond.
On a weekly basis, Comms prepared the visual media for onsite and online services, in close collaboration with the Tech Crew, preaching pastors and other ministry staff. Comms continued to manage the design and content of our website, bulletins and social media platforms (on Facebook and Instagram). We recruited more volunteers for the social media team and started a video team.
Where we are going
The Admin-Ops team has plans to carry out renovation works at the information centre in Cana Hall (L1) in 2023. The new information centre will have sign-up stations for classes and events, and provide support to members and visitors who need help. The team will look for volunteers to serve at the new centre and welcome those who are gifted administratively to join us and serve the church community in this way.
Comms will continue to plan and execute components of the Yes, Jesus! discipleship focus throughout the year, supporting the different ministries and finding ways for greater cross-ministry collaboration. We seek to further strengthen our social media, video and translation teams, through peer-learning, equipping and better systems and processes. One of our priorities is to produce more bilingual content so that both our English and Chinese congregations can be better engaged.
