GROW GENERATIONS TEAM
The Grow Generations Team makes disciples by calling the church to “Grow with us” through the seasons of childhood, youth, young adult and family.

Who we are

What we did
With the discipleship focus on “FUN Discipleship in my family”, the Grow Generations Team created opportunities for families to engage with one another by providing devotional materials for families with young children and organising a games day for youths, young adults and parents. As a team, we also shared resources by serving in each other's ministries.
Children’s Ministry:
While Sunday School at Home, our online Sunday School Class, helped to provide weekly spiritual nourishment to our children during Covid times, we are thankful that physical Sunday School classes were able to resume in 2022, with the easing of Covid guidelines. As part of our discipleship focus, parents were also encouraged to continue practising Faith@Home by using the Family Bible Reading Guide with their children for family devotions.
We had our first Children’s Camp since Covid in November 2022. Although we had a smaller group of campers this year, God used this camp to remind the children that He is always working to redeem, reclaim and transform His creation!
Youth Ministry:
The Youth Ministry was blessed with not one but two camps in 2022! “God, My Study Partner?” in June helped the youths to see that God and studies are not competitors in their priority and gave them handles on how to live out their faith as students, understanding God’s purposes for their lives.
“Sojourn” in December helped them to clarify what it means to turn from sin and follow Jesus, living in community and sharing their faith with others. This was complemented by a course on Christianity Explored on how to share the gospel. A team of youths led by Ps Jimmy spent a week in Sawa to partner with some missionaries in Phuket.
Young Adults Ministry:
The PathMakers (young adults) spent the year of 2022 undergirding their faith with the study of Systematic Theology. This gave them a clear and solid foundation of understanding why we believe what we believe. For some, it was a good refresher, but for most, it was their first time questioning the principles of their faith and having those questions answered. We thank God for speaking to many young adults through this study and gearing them up for greater things to come this year, all glory to His Name!
Family Ministry:
Due to the relaxed Covid rules in 2022, our home visits to the elderly during festive seasons increased. Besides organising events and talks for the seniors in our community, a Kopi Corner was established in Cana Hall, to invite our seniors for a time of fellowship after the 9am services and to monitor their health and well-being. The Memories Alive workshops have also been ongoing every Tuesday morning in Woodlands Social Centre. We thank God for the volunteers who came forward to serve and befriend the elderly.
Marriage Enrichment Weekend (MEW) 2022 was held as a stay-out weekend with the theme: “When 3 is not a Crowd”. Pastors Edward and Annabel were the speakers, and 32 couples attended.
Where we are going
We look forward to seeing both young and older generations in our families grow in saying “Yes” to Jesus, and seeking to have deeper spiritual conversations that will lead to prayer for one another. Our goal is to equip our church members to do this in their respective families.
