Who we are
Team Heads: Ps Lim Kee Oon (English) & Rev Ho Kum Weng (Chinese)
Staff & Ministries: Amos Tan (Worship Ministry Leader); all pastoral staff in respective congregations
What we did
Given our discipleship focus on “FUN Discipleship in my family”, we preached through Genesis to show how God works out His salvation plan through families and to challenge us to do likewise. This was divided into three seasons for the year.
- Fostering my faith at home
- Unboxing my hurts to receive healing
- Navigating my biblical roles
We polled the congregation to understand your questions and struggles in these areas and organised short talks to address these issues. We also tried to begin each new season with several nights of prayer.
Worship:
When Ps Alfred left our staff family in July, both him and I were led to separately approach Amos Tan to lead the Worship Ministry. We were pleasantly surprised to hear that God had also been speaking to him personally. Amos has since taken up the role of leading the Worship Ministry as a lay leader.
We thank the worship bands for bearing with all the changes and inconveniences during Covid and the transition back to live onsite worship.

Our Chinese congregation in Hebron
The Prayer Ministry continued to pray weekly on Wednesday nights. Each week a pastor would share something about himself and his ministry so that the team would know what to pray for. We desire to see each ministry growing in God’s ways, and in time, for WEFC to grow into a house of prayer for the Woodlands community and the nations. There are about 15 prayer warriors each Wednesday, in addition to 24 more who are praying on their own. Do come and join us!
In 2022, Chia Fook Min handed the leadership of the Prayer Ministry over to Elly Lee. Fook Min’s vision, unwavering commitment and obedience to our Lord have been an inspiration to many of us and we thank her for her 40 years of faithful service.
The highlight of the year was the 40•day 2022 season of prayer. Attendance was a little lower than in 2021, but it gave us the opportunity to have a good prayer walk of the Woodlands community. May God continue to awaken, align and lead us to join Him in His loving plans, steered by the hand of God.
Where we are going
In 2023, we are working to gather a vibrant 11:15am service with its own community and service teams.
The Worship Ministry has planned a series of sessions in 2023 to equip the ministry so that, together, we can lead the church into a right understanding of worship in our corporate and personal lives.
Do continue praying that God will raise up many more to serve as AV crew and musicians.
