Broadcasting our online services
We also thank the worship team for adjusting to the new service timings. We understand that some have had to step back from serving during this time and we look forward to welcoming you back later.
As for new ones who have signed up to serve in the worship ministry — we welcome you!
PRAYER
In 2025, we met for our English Jericho Prayer every third Sunday of the month, between the 9am and 11:15 services. We were glad to see that our average attendance increased to 204! Our Chinese Jericho Prayer remains on the first Sunday of every month with an average attendance of about 59 people. Meanwhile, the Prayer Ministry continued to pray faithfully for the church weekly every Wednesday night over zoom.
We explored a new format for our annual Season of Prayer in July – August 2025, teaching about prayer from the pulpit and following it up with 3 videos on key issues specific to us as a church and as a nation. This was delivered through the LCGs, and the feedback has been very encouraging.
As we seek to grow our church’s prayer life, these 3 factors have led us to a new direction we will take in the year ahead.
- The desire to mobilise the LCG structure for prayer, as this is the largest structure where we do life together as a church.
- Due to the fire and our new Sunday service timings, there is no “good” time or place to have our Jericho Prayer sessions as we had done previously.
- Our Season of Prayer in 2025, which was executed through the LCG structure, was received well and resulted in good feedback. This further encouraged us that this is the direction to take.
Thus, in 2026, we will close our Wednesday night prayer meetings and move prayer to the LCGs. This will engage the whole church to pray for the matters of the whole church. May we grow in our dependence and relationship with God through prayer.
CHURCH RESTORATION
In the coming year, we are working hard to restore our Bethel hall as soon and as best as possible, so that we can return to worship there together in a more comfortable time slot. Continue to pray for the Church Restoration Committee and various WEFCers who are involved in helping us think through and plan various aspects of the process.
