ADMIN-OPS & COMMS TEAMS
The Admin-Ops Team ensures the optimal running of the church office and operations to provide an effective and conducive environment for church ministries.

What happened in 2024
Several upgrading projects were undertaken to improve various aspects of our church facilities.
ADMIN-OPS
In 2024 the Admin-Ops team formed a ceiling fans improvement committee and successfully overhauled the ceiling fans in Cana Hall on Level 1. Members have given feedback that the airflow of the hall has improved and overall hall temperature has reduced. Together with the new vending machines that dispense hot beverages, we hope this will encourage members to stay back for conversations after our services to foster stronger bonds within the church community.

The Audio, Video and Lighting (AVL) upgrade for Jordan 1 (L3) has been completed. Bethel Hall’s sound system and lighting revamp will be completed by Q1 of 2025.

COMMS
In January 2024, we launched the @yaywefc Instagram account as a key platform for social media updates for the youth and young adults, and open to the wider church family as well. Our revamped bilingual website was later launched in March 2024. The video team created a music video for the Easter service, and showcased various intergen conversations during the year. In December 2024, the team also created sermon trailers to publicize the Christmas services. New volunteers for our social media and video teams were also recruited.

Where we are going in 2025
In 2025 the Admin-Ops team will continue to improve facilities on our premises with a continuation of lighting projects at our worship halls on Level 3 & 4. These works will improve both the onsite worship experience and video quality on our online platform. We will also install hot and cold water drinking points on every level for ease of access.
The hospitality ministry within the Admin-Ops has been faithfully and quietly serving meals and setting up the welcome table on Sundays. We hope to create more awareness in this area of service and encourage more to take small steps to start serving with the church, as we expand to include decorations and meal services at major events like Christmas.

During the first quarter of the year, Comms will design and oversee the production of two feature walls in Cana Hall to communicate our 2028 focus of “Life on Life, Generation to Generation”.
Comms will continue to plan and execute components of the 2025 discipleship focus throughout the year, supporting the different ministries and finding ways for greater cross-ministry collaboration. We seek to further strengthen our social media team and video team, equip our volunteers and produce content that can be used for outreach purposes. In line with our church’s focus on intergenerational mentoring, more intentional coaching will be integrated into our teams.
