GATHER TEAM
The Gather Team makes disciples by leading the church as we gather to worship and pray in both English and Chinese congregations.
Ps Lim Kee Oon, Rev Ho Kum Weng
Who we are
- Team Heads: Ps Lim Kee Oon (English) & Rev Ho Kum Weng (Chinese)
- Staff & Ministries: Amos Tan (Worship Ministry Leader); all pastoral staff in respective congregations
What we did
In 2024, we preached thru the minor prophets of Hosea, Amos and Micah. This focused the church on returning to God as our first love, who still loves us unconditionally in spite of our unfaithfulness to Him. These books also showed us how important the poor and oppressed are to God and that we, the church, must reach out to take care of them.
WORSHIP
We thank God for His faithfulness and provision over the past year. The Worship Ministry welcomed several new members from both the English and Chinese congregations.

We sent two worship leaders to Awaken Generation Worship School for further training and development. Feedback has been positive, with testimonies of personal spiritual growth alongside improvements in technical skills. We are also glad to have Pamela Say step up into the role of worship leader this past year.
A special thanks to the core team and Asher Lim for their dedication in refining processes for auditions, probation, and on-the-job training (OJT). This has strengthened the processes and foundations in the ministry.
The youth band has several older youths stepping down as they transition into a new season in life. However, a mentoring culture is emerging, fostering leadership and growth. Erny, along with some members of the worship ministry, continues to guide the youth band, ensuring continuity and support.

PRAYER
In 2024, we moved the English Jericho Prayer from the first Friday of the month to every third Sunday of the month, between the 9am and 11.15am services. (Our Chinese Jericho Prayer remains on every first Sunday of the month.) We are glad to see greater participation of the congregation in praying for the life and concerns of the church, with an average of about 190 WEFCers coming to prayer each month. However, we would like to see even more people participating in our Jericho Prayer meetings in 2025.

The Prayer Ministry continued to pray faithfully for the church weekly every Wednesday night over zoom. The highlight of the year was the 40•day season of prayer.
Where we are going
In 2025, we will be preaching thru the Epistle to the Philippians with the theme of “Serving God with Joy in All Circumstances”. This will tie in well with our call to the congregation to serve with greater focus.
In 2025, we also call for great participation from the congregation in the prayer for the life and concerns of the church.
